Game expires/quits/times out

The game always expires or times out at a certain time. I dont know he exact time but I thought it was internet connectivity at first. Not the case. I cant control the time frame but when I get an advertisement or go to another application it forces to expire the current game and start over when playing an opponent. Very frustrating
